1. Service Description

Big Wave Washateria ("Big Wave", "we", "us") provides a pickup and delivery laundry service ("Service") for residents of partner apartment complexes in the Houston, TX area. The Service includes pickup, washing, drying, folding, and delivery of laundry bags. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Pricing

• Base rate: $1.00 per pound, with a 10 lb minimum per bag
• Final price is calculated based on actual weighed weight at our facility
• Product upgrades (detergent, softener, additives) are charged per bag at rates shown at time of order
• Color separation: +$2.00 when requested
• Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice

3. SMS Notifications & Consent

By providing your phone number and placing an order, you expressly consent to receive automated SMS text messages from Big Wave Washateria regarding your order status, including:

• Order confirmation and bag check-in
• Driver pickup notification
• Washing in progress update
• Out for delivery notification
• Ready for pickup notification

Message frequency: 3–5 messages per order. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out of SMS notifications, reply STOP to any message. To request help, reply HELP or contact us at (346) 227-2952. Opting out will not affect your ability to use the Service but you will no longer receive order status updates via SMS.

4. Customer Responsibilities

• Ensure your laundry bag is placed at the apartment front desk with your QR tag attached before the scheduled pickup
• Do not include items that cannot be machine washed (dry-clean only, leather, heavily soiled items)
• Remove all items from pockets before submitting laundry
• Big Wave is not responsible for items left in pockets or non-washable items damaged during washing
• Pick up your clean laundry from the front desk within 5 business days of the ready notification

5. Liability

Big Wave Washateria takes reasonable care in handling all laundry. In the unlikely event of damage or loss, our liability is limited to the lesser of the replacement value of the item or 10× the price paid for laundering that bag.

We are not liable for pre-existing damage, color bleeding between garments (when color separation is not requested), normal wear from laundering, or items left in pockets.

6. Payment

Payment terms are established at time of service. Big Wave Washateria reserves the right to hold orders until payment is confirmed. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at time of order.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
